The Sparks Police Department got a report that a person was hit by a car on Rock Boulevard and F Street around 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 30.

REMSA took the pedestrian to a local hospital in critical condition.

The people in the car stayed on scene and are cooperating with the investigation.

Sparks Police says at this point, they do not believe alcohol was a factor.
