Plumas County Sheriff's Office is asking residents across the county to shelter in place.
The Sheriff's office is urging residents specifically in the Butterfly Valley to Quincy area to stay indoors and make sure all doors are locked.
Multiple Law enforcement agencies are currently in the area conducting a search, looking for a suspect who fled on foot after car chase, who is believed to be armed and dangerous.
Outstanding suspect is described as 42-year-old Christopher Hale-Goodson, approximately 5'6, blue eyes and short brown hair.
Suspect was last seen wearing no shirt, dark pants and is possibly wet from crossing creeks.
Police advise they have several law enforcement officers on foot in the area from Plumas County Sheriff's office, Plumas County SWAT, several other law enforcement agencies as well as the CHP Helicopter searching overhead.
Police Urge the public to only call 911 if you believe to have seen the suspect or have information on his whereabouts.
