APRIL 27 UPDATE:

A man has been arrested in connection with multiple armed robberies in March and April.

58-year-old Reno resident Robert Kindell was arrested on April 25 by detectives with the Regional Crime Suppression Unit and the Repeat Offender Program, according to a release from the Reno Police Department.

He faces charges including robbery with a deadly weapon, attempted robbery, and possession of a controlled substance.

In April, both agencies began investigating a series of robberies, including an attempted robbery at Walmart on March 4, a robbery at the Atlantis on April 1, a robbery at Walmart on April 4, and a robbery at the Tamarack Casino on April 19.

All incidents involved the use of a gun and pepper spray. The total reported loss from the robberies exceeds $10,000.

During the robberies, Kindell allegedly wore various disguises, including wigs and masks, to conceal his identity.

In the course of their investigation, detectives carried out search warrants and located evidence believed to be connected to the robberies, including cash, disguises, and guns.

Police say Kindell has a lengthy criminal history, including prior robbery-related offenses involving casinos and banks.

The investigation is ongoing. Detectives believe Kindell may be involved in additional cases and will continue to investigate his potential involvement in prior incidents.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE (APRIL 19):

Reno Police are searching for a man they say pulled off an armed robbery at the Tamarack Casino on Sunday.

Investigators say the man had a hand gun and demanded money.  He got away with unknown amount of money.

They say he fled out the back door of the casino and also sprayed a chemical into the air, possibly pepper spray.

Some people in the casino suffered breathing irritation from the spray, but there are no major injuries

Investigators are tracking the suspect using video surveillance around the casino.   He is not in custody at this time.
