One of the biggest events in our area, the Reno Rodeo, makes its return next month.

Organizers are already previewing some new things to expect.

People can expect a lot of different attractions this year along with all of the old Reno Rodeo traditions.

The rodeo kickoff concert featuring Russell Dickerson and Priscilla Block will be on June 19th at 7 p.m. in the outdoor arena, the night before the rodeo starts.

A new piece of this year's rodeo will be viewing parties that do not require a rodeo ticket to attend.

People will be able to pay the $10 grounds fee and watch the rodeo on a big screen in the indoor arena.

Also, this year there will be two rodeo clowns instead of one.

Organizers stressed very heavily that the rodeo will be enforcing a clear bag policy this year to ensure everyone's safety.

Parking at the rodeo is $20 but there is also a shuttle service which will take people from the GSR to the rodeo and back.

If you only plan to attend the events before the rodeo, parking will be refunded if you leave before 3 PM.
