A multi-vehicle crash on northbound I-580 near the Galena Bridge closed down the highway for about two hours Tuesday evening.

Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue is reporting that 19 cars were involved in the crash which was reported around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

No injuries have been reported and traffic had been rerouted on US-395 alternate.  

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time and Nevada State Police are investigating.Â
