Washoe County is hosting a virtual neighborhood meeting to discuss the Lazy 5 Substation and new transmission lines.
The project is a double circuit 120 kV transmission line located between the Lazy 5 substation at 500 Highland Ranch Pkwy, and the Sullivan substation to the southwest and Spanish Springs substation to the Southeast.
The new lines will primarily run south of Highland Ranch Parkway, west of Pyramid Highway, north of Queen Way and east of Klondike Drive, according to the county.
The virtual meeting is happening Monday, June 15 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. You can find a zoom link here.
