There are some beautiful reds, yellows, and oranges starting to show up in trees and bushes in the area. But cold weather is expected to come in this weekend, possibly affecting how and when the leaves change color.

It's full name is Amorphophallus Titanum but most people know it as a Corpse Flower because of it's awful smell. It's one of the largest flowering plants in the world and we now have one in Reno too.   

The Wilbur D. May Arboretum staff and May Arboretum Society will be coming together with the Rail City Garden Center and News Talk 780 KOH this weekend for their annual spring clean-up day at the Arboretum.

Atmospheric River events not only brings a lot of rain to the area, but wind too. Combine strong winds and heavy rain and trees could get uprooted and power lines could come down.

The Wilbur D. May Arboretum is in need of more volunteers and is having a workshop for those interested February 27th through March 20th. You do not have to volunteer to participate in the workshop, but it will bring the cost down. 

With the warm and mild weather we've had this winter season our trees and plants are starting to think it's spring already.If you're worried about your plants, there are a few things you can do now to help them in the months to come. 

With a nice forecast this weekend, now is the time to hit the trails and enjoy our fall colors. From vibrant red, to orange, and yellow our trees are much healthier this year, and it shows. 

Getting a shot is no fun, but for some people it's a must this time of year. You'll want to keep the tissue box handy as trees usually start blooming in March. The allergy season this spring and early summer might be a little bit different than years past. 

One of the great things about fall is seeing our leaves change color from green to shades of yellow, orange, and red. According to some experts, this is one of the best seasons for fall foliage we've had in a while.
