Moscow's mayor has called a bomb attack on a restaurant a "brutal terrorist act" but hasn't specified who is responsible. The blast on Saturday at the Balzi Rossi, an upscale Italian restaurant, killed three people, including the woman bomber, according to Russian state media. At least 21 people were wounded. A probe into the attack is underway, with no one yet claiming responsibility. Earlier this year, Russia announced tighter security after assassination attempts following the invasion of Ukraine. So far, authorities haven't linked this blast to those attacks or the war in Ukraine.

The U.S. military has announced that it is conducting a 12th night of strikes against Iran as both sides increasingly target civilian infrastructure.
