U.S. Senator Dean Heller is asking the Department of Veterans Affairs to clarify how its proposed facility closures would affect the state of Nevada. It is reported that the VA may be seeking to close 1,100 VA facilities nationwide. 

By now, you probably know about the controversy surrounding former Nevada quarterback and current San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Former Nevada Coach Chris Ault told Channel 2 News it it could have been done in a different way.  "I just feel that the platform used to deliver his message was not the best."

The Nevada DMV is dealing with a controversy over a proposal for custom license plates. A faith-based charity organization has passed the initial approval stage for plates with an anti-abortion message.
