Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has blocked Democrats’ push to immediately bring President Trump’s demand for bigger $2,000 COVID-19 relief checks up for a vote.

Taxpayers who want to get their economic impact payments from the IRS directly deposited to their bank accounts have less than 48 hours to enter their information online.

People are now able to find out when they can expect to get their money after the government on Wednesday launched a tracking tool called "Get My Payment."

The federal government is sending financial help to millions, but the timing of those payments may vary.

The IRS expects to receive more than 148 million individual tax returns this year, and more than four out of five returns are now filed electronically.
