The wind machine is cranked on full blast this week bringing down trees and powerlines, as well as flipping over semi trucks. While we’ve seen a peak wind gust of 75 miles per hour at the Reno Airport on Monday this is not as strong as it could be. 

Hawaii civil defense officials say extremely high levels of sulfur dioxide gas have been detected in areas near the eruption of Kilauea Volcano on the Big Island. A 6.9 magnitude earthquake also rocked the island on Friday.
