Reno Aces (Diamondbacks) outfielder Socrates Brito led all of Minor League Baseball in extra-base hits.
A week after being named an All-Star, Reno Aces outfielder Socrates Brito has been voted by the League’s field managers as Minor League Baseball’s Pacific Coast League June Player of the Month.
Christian Walker and Socrates Brito’s back-to-back home runs in the top of the fifth inning pushed Reno past Las Vegas Friday night, 5-4. Walker’s home run was his fourth in the last eight games and his ninth of the season. Brito’s solo-blast was his eighth.
The Memphis sun wasn’t kind to the Aces on Sunday afternoon. Reno was shutout (6-0) by the Redbirds despite out-hitting the home team 11 to nine. Left-hander Alex Young earned the first loss of his Triple-A career, moving to (2-1) on the season. Ildemaro Vargas finished today’s contest 1-for-5, but extended his hitting streak to a season-high 11 games.

D-backs’ number seven prospect, Taylor Clarke, got the start this afternoon for Reno in game two of the three-game series.
The Reno Aces (8-7) fell to the Albuquerque Isotopes (7-8) by a score of 8-3 Thursday night at Isotopes Park, ending their four-game winning streak.
