Search crews have recovered the "black box" from the wreckage of the freighter El Faro that sank near the Bahamas during Hurricane Joaquin.

Federal investigators say they have found the missing data recorder for the sunken cargo ship El Faro. The 790-foot freighter sank last October after losing propulsion while traveling between Jacksonville and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board says in a statement that a search team has found the wreckage of a vessel believed to be the cargo ship El Faro, which went missing with 33 crewmembers on Oct. 1 during Hurricane Joaquin.
The search for survivors from a missing cargo ship goes on into the night, but so far, crews have found only one body.
