A judge in Boston has dismissed a Trump administration lawsuit that accused Harvard University of ignoring harassment of Jewish students. Thursday's decision by U.S. District Judge Richard G. Stearns says President Donald Trump's administration failed to prove an ongoing violation of federal antidiscrimination laws. The judge says the lawsuit mostly focused on incidents during the 2023-24 academic year and the cases are “too isolated and episodic” to prove a persistent civil rights violation. The Republican administration accused Harvard of failing to protect Jewish students during pro-Palestinian demonstrations. Harvard has said it's committed to ensuring members of its Jewish community are respected. Harvard and the Justice Department haven't commented on the judge's decision.
