The U.N. health agency says two patients with hantavirus and one suspected of infection were evacuated from a cruise ship at the center of a deadly outbreak. Two of the patients arrived at Amsterdam’s airport Wednesday evening and were driven off in ambulances. The ship departed from Cape Verde and headed to Spain's Canary Islands. The World Health Organization says eight cases have been recorded, with five confirmed by lab tests. Three people have died. Two Argentine officials investigating the origins of the outbreak say the government’s leading hypothesis is that a Dutch couple contracted the virus during a bird-watching outing before boarding.

Disney exceeded most expectations in the second quarter due to strength in its streaming service and strong spending at U.S. theme parks that offset weak international tourism. The company warned early this year that its theme parks division would likely see modest growth due in part to declining tourism from abroad. International tourism in the U.S. has waned for a number of reasons after President Donald Trump’s return to the White House, including tariffs, a crackdown on immigrants, and repeated jabs at allied nations. Overall attendance at U.S. parks declined 1% from the same time last year due to declining international tourism. Still, the company reported strong domestic spending at parks.

Uber is expanding into a different side of the travel business. The ride-hailing and delivery company said on Wednesday that users of its app can now book hotel rooms. Uber says it's using hotel listings provided by the booking service Expedia. It plans to add more than 1 million properties from vacation rental platform Vrbo later this year. Uber's chief product officer says offering customers the ability to book hotel rooms is a big step toward the company's goal of building an “everything app” that serves many customer needs. He wouldn't give details about the financial terms involved in its partnership with Expedia.
