Northern Nevada home prices were up 8% in April compared to last year, but that hasn’t deterred home sales, according to Sierra Nevada REALTORS's April market report.

The group, Locals for Affordable Housing, has launched a canvassing campaign targeted towards South Lake Tahoe. They are advocating for an annual vacancy property tax to be imposed on the more than 7,000 unoccupied homes in the resort town.
