This weekend you can help the family of a local U.S. Forest firefighter who passed away last month. On Sunday, all five Yogurt Beach locations in northern Nevada will donate 30% of all of their proceeds to the family of Ian Howard.

From the U.S. Forest Service: The family of Plumas National Forest firefighter Ian Howard will hold a memorial service for Ian on Monday, August 29, at 11:30 AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

The body of a Forest Service firefighter is now back in Reno where it was escorted to an area funeral home. Firefighter Ian Howard died last weekend and was assigned to Plumas National Forest.
