Authorities are investigating a presumed drowning at Idlewild Pool.  The incident was reported just 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday at the City of Reno public pool.  We're sending a crew there right now to get more information. 

If you wanted to use Idlewild Pool for the Fourth of July holiday, you will have to go somewhere else. The City of Reno has temporarily closed the pool for repairs.

In April, NV Energy installed a solar water heating system at Idlewild pool as a part of a partnership with the city of Reno.
