If you've been to downtown Reno, you've probably noticed W. 1st Street has been closed for about a month now. It reopened to drivers on Wednesday - a sign the Virginia Street Bridge project is coming along.

It’s a big day for the Virginia Street Bridge project in downtown Reno. On Monday, the arches began their move across the Truckee River.

Crews are making progress on the Virginia Street Bridge. Demolition of the old one began in May, and now the centerpieces of the new one are taking shape.
