A forensic psychologist has testified for the defense that Lindsay Clancy didn't appreciate the “wrongfulness” of killing three children due to her mental health issues. The testimony Wednesday of Paul Zeizel is meant to support the defense contentions that Clancy shouldn’t be held legally responsible for murder because she was in the grip of postpartum psychosis when she killed her three children before trying to kill herself. Prosecutors say Clancy had planned the killings and contrived to get her husband out of the house the evening of killings by sending him to pick on medicine for one of their children and dinner for the family.
