Former Democratic assemblywoman and lieutenant governor candidate Lucy Flores says she's running for Congress. Flores announced Wednesday that she will seek the 4th Congressional District seat now held by first-term Republican Rep. Cresent Hardy.

While the candidates have pretty much been focused on their own accomplishments in the race for Lieutenant Governor in Nevada, an advertisement launched by Mark Hutchison brings some of Lucy Flores' actions into question.

The race for Lieutenant Governor in Nevada is an important one this cycle. Because there is a chance that Governor Brian Sandoval will run against Senator Harry Reid in 2016. And if he leaves office, the lieutenant governor would be ushered right into the Governor's Office for the balance of his term.

Nevada state lawmaker Lucy Flores has won the Democratic nomination for lieutenant governor. The two-term assemblywoman from Las Vegas defeated Navy veteran Harley Kulkin in the primary Tuesday night.
