A new homeless youth resource center called "The YOU" is getting ready to open its doors to the public. The resource center isn't a shelter for teens to stay at night, but it is a place to go during the day for homeless, runaway, or at-risk youth. 

A new homeless youth resource center called "The YOU" is opening its doors to the public. Teens can use the internet, take a shower, do laundry, or grab some food...and those are just some of the basics available for youth at The YOUth Resource Center.

One group of locals is braving the outdoors all night long for the next two nights. They are setting out on a 48-hour mission called, "This is Homelessness" to show the hardships the less fortunate go through. 

On April 27th hundreds of locals gathered for the Second Annual “Pies with A Purpose” fundraising event at the West Street Market in the Reno Riverwalk. The event successfully raised $14,000.00 for the cause with all proceeds going to support the Eddy House.
