Mt. Rose is packed with families for New Year’s weekend. Saturday was the third day in a row the Goldman family went to Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe to hit the slopes. It looks like it won't be their last visit here.
Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe normally sees a large wave of tourists during Christmas, and Tuesday the crowds came out earlier than usual. A fresh 10 to 12 inches of snow overnight sure didn't hurt, either.

Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe says it will begin daily operations for the 2017-18 winter season Tuesday. Mt. Rose will offer access to one beginner ski trail accessed by the Wizard chairlift from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days per week.
If the warm weather is a trick this fall, Mt. Rose has a treat for skiers this weekend. They'll be open this Friday, October 27th, and Saturday, October 28th, from 8am through noon.
Part and full-time seasonal positions include: lift attendants, ski and snowboard instructors, rental shop attendants, food and beverage, bartenders, cocktail servers, janitorial, parking attendants, and ticket agents.

Memorial Day weekend marks the latest Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe has ever stayed open during a season, passing the previous mark of May 8th in 2016.
