People in the New Zealand city of Christchurch honored the 51 worshipers who were killed in a mass shooting a year ago in small but poignant ways after a planned national memorial event was canceled due to fears it might spread the new coronavirus.

The man accused of killing 51 people at two Christchurch mosques has pleaded not guilty to all the charges that have been filed against him.

Some mosques in Sri Lanka are holding communal Friday prayers despite the potential for attacks after the Easter suicide bombings.

The president of the Northern Nevada Muslim Community described the attack in Quebec City as a wake-up call, and a reminder to be extra vigilant. They are hiring a security company and asking all their worshipers to enter and exit the building in pairs.

Quebec police say just one of the individuals arrested in connection with Canadian mosque attack, where six people died, is considered a suspect.
