American Airlines will use the jet on a round-trip route between Miami and New York on Tuesday.

Boeing says it's providing $100 million over several years to help families and communities affected by two crashes of its 737 Max plane that killed 346 people. 

Boeing says it expects to finish work on updated flight-control software for the 737 Max in September, a sign that the troubled jet likely won't be flying until late this year.
