Nye County Commissioners voted 3-2 this week to consider a proposal from Renown Health to provide remote medical services in Tonopah, after the only medical center there closed in August due to financial reasons.
Nye Regional Medical Center in Tonopah closed for business on Friday due to financial issues. In response, the Nye County Emergency Management Office has developed an emergency response plan to support the needs of the communities affected by NRMC’s closure.
