CBS reports that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) released as statement on Sunday saying Boeing told them that parts of the company's grounded 737 Max and 737 Next Generation (NG) passenger planes may have been made with faulty parts which could crack or fail prematurely.

Investigators said the plane's number one engine ceased while making its final approach into north Las Vegas. Two passengers on board were treated for minor injuries.

On Wednesday the Minden Air Corp and U.S. Forest Service were out testing a refurbished passenger plane that could soon be used to fight fires in Northern Nevada. The entire plane was reconstructed at the Minden-Tahoe Airport.The drill was part of the certification process to approve the BAE-146 Fire Bomber to fight fires.
