RENO, Nev. – In honor of National CPR and AED Awareness Week (June 1-7), the Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority (REMSA) will conduct “hands only” CPR demonstrations around Reno and Sparks. Community members will be taught how to respond to sudden cardiac arrest as well as how to do effective “hands-only” CPR. The Washoe County District Board of Health has unanimously approved the revised Franchise Agreement for the Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority (REMSA) that includes a number of measures improving the region’s Emergency Medical Services system.
