Junior Ryan Anderson had one of the best pitching performances in Nevada history on Friday night, throwing seven hitless innings with a career-high 11 strikeouts in Nevada’s (4-1) 1-0 victory at Long Beach State (0-5).

Senior Mark Nowaczewski (3-2) put together another tremendous pitching performance for the Wolf Pack (11-7, 6-1 MW) on Friday night to take game one of the series at Fresno State (12-9, 3-7 MW) by a score of 5-1. Nevada is tied with rival UNLV for the best conference record in the Mountain West.

In thrilling fashion, Joshua Zamora hit a sacrifice fly with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth to propel Nevada (7-6, 4-1 MW) to a game and series victory over San Jose State (6-8, 0-4 MW). Sophomore Ryan Anderson (1-1) picked up the win the same day his father, Scott, threw out the first pitch on Saturday afternoon.
