Nevada senior Sharae Zheng placed third in the 1-meter springboard at the NCAA Championships on Thursday. Her third place finish gave the Wolf Pack 16 points on the day, which was more than any other Mountain West school. Zheng began the day by finishing fifth in the preliminaries rounds with a score of 308.25 and improved her standing by two spots in the A final with her third place finish. 

Nevada senior Sharae Zheng won the 3-meter springboard at the NCAA Zone E Championships on Tuesday and has now qualified for two events at the NCAA Championships. On Monday, Zheng came out on top of the 1-meter springboard, along with junior Sio I Lei who placed fifth in the event. 

Senior Sharae Zheng made history Saturday night during the final day of the 2018 Mountain West Swimming & Diving Championship, bringing home the gold in the platform dive. With a score of 303.72, Zheng’s victory marked her eighth Mountain West diving championship, a conference record in gold medals.

After one of the greatest performances at the Mountain West Championships, Nevada junior Sharae Zheng was named the MW Diver of the Year as voted upon by the conference’s coaches. 

Following the conclusion of the opening day of the 2017 Mountain West Championships, the Nevada swimming and diving team sits in second place, just two points behind Boise State.

Sophomore Sharae Zheng cemented her status in Wolf Pack lore, winning a second national championship in as many days after sweeping the springboard events at the NCAA Championships.

Sophomore diver Sharae Zheng made history on Thursday, winning the 1-meter springboard title at the NCAA Championships to become the first national champion in Nevada’s diving history.
