New trucks are on the job at Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District. The Washoe County Board of Fire Commissioners approved funding for two water tenders and two new Type I engines last fiscal year.  

The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District (TMFPD) says they extinguished a fire as a train went by earlier this week. They said around 4:30 a.m., the Verdi/Mogul team from Station 40 responded to a private water tender engulfed in flames.
