When you call 9-1-1, it's because you need help now. While you'll probably never see a dispatcher at a scene, you wouldn't received any help without dispatchers taking your calls and relaying information. Of course, the job is a lot more than phone calls.

When tragedies such as drownings, fires or suicides happen, first responders are there. Alongside them, are specially trained citizens from the Trauma Intervention Program.

Albert and Joan Musalo were married for 53 years, living in their Montreux dream home.  Albert was a 75-year-old retired Pan Am pilot, while Joan was a homemaker that raised the couple's four children.  The Musalos' lives came to an abrupt and tragic end on March 28, 2006.
