Top junior Miles Russell is headed to his first U.S. Open. He got the last spot in a Florida qualifier with the son of Tiger Woods caddying for him. Russell and Charlie Woods are close friends. Russell was one of two 17-year-olds to qualify out of Florida. The other is Giuseppe Puebla, who is No. 2 behind Russell in the American junior rankings. They are among some 700 players competing for 43 spots to play in the U.S. Open next week at Shinnecock Hills. Also getting in was Billy Horschel. Among those missing out is Tony Finau.
