The doors are closed at one of downtown Reno's longtime breakfast-lunch spots, where signs posted at the entrance now tell customers the restaurant has permanently closed and point them to another location in the local chain.

A viewer shared a photo showing a permanent closure notice posted on the door of Peg’s Glorified Ham n Eggs at 420 S. Sierra St. The sign directs customers to the restaurant's Mae Anne location at 6300 Mae Anne Ave.

Posted alongside the closure sign is a notice to vacate dated July 8, giving the business 30 days to vacate the property.

It remains unclear why the downtown restaurant closed, and it is unknown what led to the notice to vacate.

Peg’s Glorified Ham n Eggs has been a popular locally owned restaurant chain in Reno since the early 2000’s.

This is a developing story. We are working to learn more about the closure and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
