Lyon County deputies are asking for the public’s help finding a missing 12-year-old boy last seen in Dayton on Saturday.
Deputies were dispatched to the Dayton Valley Village Apartments on Dayton Valley Road around 12:22 p.m. Saturday after a report that the teen had not returned home after attending a trunk-or-treat event Friday night.
Investigators learned Orion Perkins may have stayed at a friend’s house. Friends later told deputies they last saw him around noon Saturday near Turnberry Lane. They said he left the area on foot, heading west toward Lakes Boulevard.
Deputies say Perkins recently shaved his head and may be avoiding people searching for him. He is known to frequent the Dayton Valley Road area, including the pond off Lakes Boulevard, the skate park and the library.
Perkins is described as approximately 5 feet tall and 110 pounds, with a thin build, fair skin, blue eyes and a freshly shaved head. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and a gray or black hat.
Anyone with information about Perkins’ whereabouts is asked to contact Lyon County Dispatch at 775-463-6620.
