A man was arrested Tuesday on charges of vehicle burglary following an incident on Monday.

On June 2, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office District Court Bailiffs responded to a report of a vehicle burglary that happened earlier in the day in the parking lot near the District Courthouse, according to a release from the WCSO.

The victim reported multiple items stolen from the vehicle, including credit and debit cards.

Surveillance footage helped investigators determine a suspect, identified on Tuesday as 42-year-old Karrell Morgan.

Morgan had a history of felony arrests and violent behavior, according to the Sheriff's Office release, so H.E.R.O. Detectives assisted in locating him.

The suspect's vehicle was found near Circus Circus, and further investigation revealed corroborating evidence linking Morgan to the burglary.

He was found nearby and taken into custody without incident.

Morgan was booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility on charges including burglary of a motor vehicle, swindle - obtaining or using the identification of another, possession of credit/debit card without cardholder consent, grand larceny ($1,200 to less than $5,000), and use of credit/debit card or ID without consent.
