The smells, sounds, and vibrant colors of Italy will take over downtown Reno as the 42nd annual Great Italian Festival kicks off on Saturday, October 12.
The festival takes place on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., and wraps up Sunday, October 13 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
The event is open to the public, and free to enter.
This year, celebrity baker Buddy "Buddy V" Valastro of the A&E show "Cake Dynasty" will be in attendence - he will be hosting the Cannoli and Zeppole booth on Saturday, and will be the MC for the grape stomping competition.
The Wine Walk is returning at this year's festival. Attendees will be able to sample a variety of wines, with selections spanning different regions of Italy.
The walk will take place during the festival on both days from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Locomotion Plaza. Participants will receive a commemorative tasting glass.
Wristbands for the Wine Walk are $25 per person, and are available to buy online or in person at the event for people 21 or older.
