NV Energy is reporting multiple power outages across northern Nevada affecting more than 5,500 people.
The largest of the outages, according to NV Energy's outage map, is located in south Reno in the area of Mira Loma Road and Desert Way. This outage is affecting nearly 4,900 people.
The cause of this outage is under investigation and there is no estimated time for when power will be restored.
Meanwhile, in Carson City, more than 900 people are without power due to a downed pole or wire near the Southgate Mall.
Power is estimated to be restored to customers in Carson City by 11 p.m.
