Registration is now open for the Sierra Tots Program spring session, a five-week program for children ages two to four that combines fun activities, motor skill development, and guided play for kids and their parents or guardians.
The program will run from March 9 through April 9,
with sessions held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. Parents or guardians must stay and participate in the activities with their child.
Sierra Tots will host an open house on Monday, March 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center. Families can meet the teacher, Anna Sisson, explore the classroom, and ask questions about the program.
When registering, families choose one weekday for the full five-week session. For example, if a Monday session is selected, they would attend every Monday during the program. Each child may attend with a parent, guardian, or up to two caregivers.
The cost for the full program is $120. RecConnect discounts are available for families with an existing membership, and sliding scale discounts are offered based on household income or for families with multiple children.
Families seeking sliding scale discounts must visit the Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center with a current pay stub or the previous year's tax return to apply. More information is available by calling (775)-334-2262 or visiting the City’s Scholarship-Fee Assistance page.
To register for the Sierra Tots spring session, families can sign up online on the Parks & Recreation registration page or in person at the Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center.
