A California Court of Appeals ruled in favor of a Tahoe conservationist group for a planned development in Tahoe.
The group had argued that Placer County didn't adequately take into effect the environmental impacts before the project was approved in 2016.
The project would build 760 homes while preserving 6,376 acres of open space between Truckee and North Lake Tahoe.
The developers may appeal the ruling to California's Supreme Court.
