Nevada Flood Week

The Truckee River Flood Management Authority’s Board of Directors issued a proclamation on October 24 declaring November 9 through November 15 as Nevada Flood Awareness Week.

The declaration recognizes the importance of educating the public about flood safety and preparedness across the state.

As part of the campaign, the agency released a series of public service announcement videos designed to inform people about the dangers of flooding and how to prepare before severe weather strikes.

The videos emphasize the importance of understanding flood risks in local communities and encourage residents to take steps such as creating emergency plans, assembling disaster kits, and knowing evacuation routes.
