Sparks Police, Sparks Fire and REMSA were called to a crash that closed northbound lanes of Sparks Blvd. at Disc Drive Saturday afternoon.
Sparks Police say just after 1:30 p.m. a motorcyclist was travelling northbound on Sparks Boulevard north of Disc Drive when an SUV attempting to make a left turn into a business complex was struck by the motorcycle on the passenger side.
The crash caused the rider of the motorcycle to be ejected.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the SUV remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. They were not injured.
Sparks Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is leading the investigation.
