Douglas County, Carson City Emergency Management and regional partners will be conducting a wildfire evacuation exercise near Clear Creek Tahoe on Monday, April 20.
The test will involve sending three emergency alert notifications. They will happen at noon, 1 p.m., and 2 p.m.
This is only an exercise, and no actual wildfire or evacuation order will be in effect.
Notifications will be delivered via call, email, or text, depending on how you have your emergency alert account set up.
Douglas County says they’re conducting the test to see which residents receive notifications and to check for any crossover in delivery.
