A New Mexico jury found in March that Meta violated state law by failing to warn users about the dangers of its social media platforms and didn’t do enough to protect children from sexual predators. Now, a bench trial is underway to determine if Meta platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp pose a public nuisance.
