An incredible past several days has bought the powder back to the Sierra to the tune of 3-6 feet of snow in the Tahoe basin and south into Mono County. With a few days break before an atmospheric river and warmer snow event it's worth taking pause to evaluate where the snowpack now stands in western Nevada and eastern California.

The trend has obviously been quite positive, and we have gained significant ground back from where we were just a couple of weeks ago. The Carson and Walker watersheds have seen the most impressive growth, with an increase into at or above 90 percent of the median for this time of year. The Truckee and Tahoe watersheds have also seen improvement, but still sit in the upper 70s in terms of percentage of median. There's still some work to be done, but at least it's not quite as rough anymore!
