A Red Flag Warning goes through 10 pm Friday night due to strong winds and low relative humidity values.
Wind speeds will be at their strongest as a front rolls through in the afternoon. Plan on it being windy for the drive home from work as well. Sustained winds will range between 20-30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. However, places like Washoe Valley could see wind gusts up to 50 mph. Ridgetops could also see wind gusts up to 75 mph. Thankfully, wind speeds will be light overnight, but it will be windy again Saturday afternoon, but not as bad as Friday.
Click on the graphics below to find your your location. In general, wind gusts will be slightly lighter east of Reno, but still strong in places like Fallon and Dayton. Wind speeds will be strong enough to toss some loose Halloween decorations. Bring them inside if you don’t want to lose them.
