During the month of April the Reno Fire Department, Sparks Fire Department and Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District have partnered to wear custom uniform shirts while on duty, and a 5k run on Sunday involved the agencies coming together to support Autism Awareness Month.
The 7th annual Spring Forward for Autism 5K walk/run at the University of Nevada, Reno hosted a number of vendors and activities for children and adults alike as well as having a 'Hugs N Heroes' area with local first responders.
