Hundreds of kids here in northern Nevada can say they are feeling a little warmer today. Thanks to Macys in partnership with clothes for souls and for kid’s foundation a thousand jackets were donated for those in need. For many kids, those jackets mean more than you can imagine.
“I walk home from school and it’s really cold during the winter time so it’s going to help me keep me warm during the winter,” says Hope Fisher.
Throughout the year Macy’s had a "buy a coat and we will donate one" campaign, thanks to that, they were able to
collect 35 thousand jackets; a thousand of them were donated through Clothes for Souls in partnership with for Kid’s Foundation today. All of the jackets are new and sizes range from small to extra-large.
“It helps tremendous when you have that many kids and jackets aren’t cheap, the thing that is so neat about the season is the giving, it’s just like a circle of love for the season,” says Linda Fisher, attendee.
