AccuWeather reports the heat waves sweeping through Europe might have an affect on France's wine production.

They said temperatures soared and broke all-time high records in June.

"A severe heat wave, the second of 2019, has begun in western Europe, one that will potentially bring some all-time historical high temperatures," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Jim Andrews said.

AccuWeather says the agriculture ministry announced last week that wine production for the year will decrease by six to 13 percent over last year's numbers.

They said government officials are blaming the heat for decrease in wine output.

AccuWeather reports the heat disrupts vine's flowering stage.
