Family Counseling Service’s Aly’s Prom Closet is a local program providing financially challenged high school students in the Truckee Meadows the resources to ensure they can attend their prom. Aly's Prom Closet has successfully concluded the 15th season of serving 192 students in the Reno-Sparks area.
The Aly’s Prom Closet Annual Dress and Accessory Sale Fundraiser will be held this Saturday, in the upper level of Shoppers Square Mall from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Hundreds of prom dresses, cocktail dresses, summer and graduation dresses will be for sale for $20 each, shoes for $5 per pair and purses $3 each. All proceeds from the Annual Dress and Accessory Sale Fundraiser go towards the 2017 prom season for Aly’s Prom Closet. Cash, check, VISA and MC are accepted forms of payment at the sale.
Students are qualified for Aly’s Prom Closet through the high school counselors, based on financial need. Founded in 2002 by Family Counseling Service of Northern Nevada, Aly’s has assisted over 3,800 local students.
